About

Hello Everyone!

My name is Charlie and I am a mummy to Lily, partner to Matthew and part-time blogger on Mummy’s Gone Mad.

I am originally from a small seaside town called Scarborough in North Yorkshire, but I have lived in Rochdale (near Manchester) for around 15 years and consider myself a true Mancunian.

I started Mummy’s Gone Mad during my pregnancy with Lily, I experienced a pretty rough pregnancy and when I reached month 6, I was finding it hard to cope. I was worried I was driving Matthew, my mother and best friend crazy with my constant moaning and crying so I decided to start a blog to help me vent my anger, emotions and concerns about the future.

I never thought anyone would ever read it but after just a few weeks I started receiving messages off other expectant mothers who were feeling exactly like I was! Mummy’s Gone Mad became an escape from it all where I could meet and chat with friends in a similar situation.

After Lily was born, I finally understood what the point was and discovered that the pain and discomfort was all worth it. Lily was our little miracle but I must admit it took me a while to get used to it all and adapt to motherhood.

Mummy’s Gone Mad is a fantastic place for mum’s to come together, share their experiences, vent about their days and share their tips and tricks on how to be a better parent, how to clean pen off your white walls and how to make the most of every moment.

Mummy’s Gone Mad has grown into an incredible community and I love to hear from my readers, especially those who find themselves in a similar situation.

I’ll occasionally accept content from guest contributors, although only if you can offer some genuine insight or add value to my page. Posts such as; How to Deal with the Terrible Twos, The Best Halloween Costume Ideas and Top 10 Restaurants for Date Night Without the Kids are all perfect examples so get your thinking caps on!

Please ensure that all guest posts submitted are of high quality, adhere to my small set of guidelines and are original. So if you have something you think Mummy’s Gone Mad readers will love, then please don’t be shy.

Should you want to get in touch for any reason simply fill out the contact form and I’ll get back to you soon.

I look forward to welcoming you all to the family soon!

Love Charlie
