Don’t Wait Too Long To Date Again

Getting back on to the dating scene is much easier when you haven’t been on your own for too long. Take a bit of time to recover from your break up/divorce, and then you can try dipping your toes back into the water. Single moms can get way too comfortable being single, which means things can get very complicated when they eventually decide to date again. You could find you’ve become set in your ways which makes it a lot more difficult to open up and share your life with someone! The best thing to do is to start out slowly and perhaps try online dating. By searching online you’ll be able to find a special online dating platform for young women and mature men, so you know you’re not going to end up with somebody who isn’t ready for a relationship. You’ll also be able to set the pace and decide who is the right kind of person for you.

Don’t Get Exclusive Too Soon

It’s advisable that you cast a wide net and go out with more than one person until the talk of exclusivity comes up. Going out with more than one person isn’t a bad thing, you’re simply comparing and contrasting to see what works best for you. You’ll also be able to date until you’re ready to commit, without being totally taken over by one person. Never assume you’re in a committed relationship until you’ve had “the conversation” with that person.

Don’t Date Too Soon

There are no real rules as to when’s acceptable to start dating again, however, the circumstances surrounding your breakup will have something to do with how long it takes you to become emotionally ready to date again. Ideally, you should wait until you’ve adjusted to your new life as a single, and until you’re happy with your life before you bring anybody else into it.

Don’t Have Sex Too Soon

Basically; having sex bonds you emotionally, which means you make it harder to leave a person if you aren’t a good match. You shouldn’t sleep with someone because you think they won’t wait, or even just because you’re dying for some lovin’. A good match will wait until you’re ready, so don’t “do it” until you feel you should take your emotional connection to the next level.

Don’t Introduce The Kids Too Soon

Of course you’ll want to know if a potential boyfriend will react well to your children, however; it can be a tricky situation. You should remember that it’s not only you that gets hurt if the relationship ends, it’s the children too. A clever single mom should wait as long as possible before introducing a boyfriend to the children, and never do it around the holidays. Once your boyfriend has been introduced, there’s no going back! Introduce your boyfriend to the kids once you’ve had the talk about exclusivity, and you both know you share the same ideas for the future of your relationship.

Single moms never have to be lonely, worried, or confused again with this dating advice!
