Pregnancy is an uncomfortable time all around. Some women absolutely love the process, others feel miserable throughout. It varies from pregnancy to pregnancy and woman to woman. Some women honestly just have better luck than others. At least everybody can celebrate the fact that sooner than later, the baby will be born and the uncomfortable alien that was growing in your belly will then be growing sans belly.

For the time being, your body is going through an awful lot of changes. Every day is different, as the baby is obviously growing everyday and needs more space, needs more food, and gives you cravings that send your spouse to the store at odd hours of the day and night. If you’re looking for ways to increase your physical comfort level during this phase of your life, here are some things you can do to obtain that comfort:

Wear All The Flowy Things

It’s understandable that women want to still look cute and feel good about themselves during pregnancy, but the reality of the matter is that you’re growing a baby inside you. Who do you need to please? In any case, there are so many cute maternity clothes out there now days, so you have a lot to be thankful for. Wear all the flowy things…get on those maternity leggings, and rock the pregnant life like the hot mama you are.

Hog the Pillows

Seeing as though your spouse is not growing a baby inside of them, they don’t have a right to the pillows on the bed like you do. When you’re feeling especially uncomfortable, use all of the pillows to your advantage. Prop one wherever it feels best, lay one behind your back, or find ones that are specially made for pregnant women like you.

Get a Heating Pad

For all of those random aches and pains that accompany pregnancy, get yourself a handy heating pad. It can go around your neck and shoulders, you can place it under your lower back on the couch or in bed, or you stick it on your feet. The heat feels great when you’re not feeling great but can’t get in and out of the tub very easily.

Despite all of the inconveniences that pregnancy brings, after the baby is born, you’ll be able to get back to your old self again…kind of. A woman who looks and feels the same after she’s given birth is a woman to be envied. It might take you time…but you have all the time in the world. At least until the next baby comes around. You’ll know what to do when that happens.
