Caring for a young child is such a hard job, busy moms can hardly find the time to brush their bed hair out, let alone put their face on to go out in public. Moms all know that when you’ve got a newborn, having a spare couple of minutes to take a shower is hard to come by. Plus, after making sure the kids look presentable, can you really be bothered to doll yourself up?

Not many mom’s can, so when you do spot one who’s managed to do her hair and makeup it’s an admirable thing. Of course all women would love to look gorgeous all of the time, but they just don’t know what to do with the little time they have. The truth is, you can still tidy yourself up and get the kids to school in record time! Here’s 4 quick and easy tips for the busy moms out there

make up

Cleanse Your Skin

Makeup becomes so much easier to apply when you have lovely clear skin. If you don’t have a good cleansing routine or don’t take your makeup off before bed, you could be jeopardising the quality and radiance of your complexion! Make sure that once a day you are cleansing, toning, and moisturising your skin. This should be after you take your makeup off with a wipe, but it can also be done in the morning before you apply your makeup, too. Doing it twice a day will have your skin looking twice as good!

Your finished makeup will look better with smooth skin and it’ll be easier to apply. Try products depending on your skin type, such as combination, dry or normal. This will give you the best results.

Use a Tinted Moisturiser or Foundation

No matter what anybody has told you, foundation is not harmful to your skin in any way. Any tinted moisturiser or foundation you apply to your skin will actually protect your skin from free radicals in the environment.

Tinted moisturiser is good for someone who just wants something to brighten up their complexion without too much coverage. Foundation is good for someone who needs a little bit of extra help covering blemishes or dark circles!

You can also use a concealer to further cover up your blemishes and dark circles. Trying out decent products with good reviews will give you the best results and last the longest. MAC is a great brand, as is Clinique.

Use Liner and Mascara

You can usually purchase both of these items even if you are on a tight budget. Don’t pay attention to the mascara adverts though – lash inserts are used and you won’t get the exact same look unless you apply them, or go for eyelash extensions in Parker, CO, or wherever you live, to give yourself long lashes without the mascara! Try to choose liner that doesn’t smudge easily and mascara that will last all through the day.

Groom Facial Hair

Keeping facial hair at bay will help makeup go on smoother and make the overall look appear groomed and polished. Wax removal is the best method for the skin not to mention the longest lasting, you can sometimes go two weeks or more without having it re done! Perfect for busy moms.
